Hope City Villa A

A house on a hillside above the Atlantic in Saint Andrew Parish. Three bedrooms, each with its own bathroom, a kitchen-living room running the full width of the house, and an infinity pool pushed out to the edge of the drop. The design was prepared by a Grenadian architectural practice; construction has not started.

Where this is

Hope City sits on the east coast of Grenada, in Saint Andrew Parish. This is the windward side of the island: open Atlantic, surf, a steep shoreline and noticeably less development than the south-west around St. George's and Grand Anse.

The plot stands on a ridge above a bay with a sandy beach, reached by a path down the slope. Green hillside surrounds it on three sides; neighbouring houses are sparse and do not block the view. Access is by paved road, entry through the property's own gates.

The house

284 square metres under a single flat roof, broken into three offset volumes - which is how every bedroom gets its own stretch of façade and its own view, rather than a window onto an internal courtyard.

The house is raised on circular columns - the answer to a steep slope: a shaded, ventilated space remains beneath it, while the living floor sits at a level with views over the vegetation.

Pool and terrace

The 7.6 × 3 metre infinity pool with a glass end wall is pushed to the very edge of the platform. A 21-metre deck terrace runs alongside it - it ties all three volumes of the house together and serves as the main place to live: loungers, a dining table, and the way out from both the kitchen-living room and the master bedroom.

What a buyer should know

This is a project, not a finished house. The architectural renderings come from the practice; the evening-light and interior frames were prepared by us from the same drawings, to show the house as it will be lived in. Real photographs will appear as construction progresses - we do not pass one off as the other.

The villa is sold as a property. It has nothing to do with Grenada's citizenship-by-investment program: buying it does not entitle you to file for a passport. If citizenship is what you need, look at the Grenada program and the government-approved projects.
