The main criterion for obtaining a D7 visa in Portugal is a monthly income of 3,040 EUR. This amount is four times the country's minimum wage.
A visa application can be filed at Portuguese consulates or embassies outside the country, as well as inside it or at its representative offices. Candidates for the visa can be citizens of countries outside the European Union who have no criminal record or visa law violations.
It is important to note that the employer or client providing the freelancer's income must also not be registered in Portugal.
Greece
Greece's digital nomad visa is available to freelancers from various countries, including Russia, for a period of 24 months, with the option of a further two-year extension. To obtain this document, a foreign national must work as a self-employed person or under an employment contract outside Greek territory.
The foreign national's income must exceed 3,500 EUR per month for one person. If the applicant wants to include a spouse or a partner with whom they have a cohabitation agreement in Greece, as well as minor children, the income requirements increase by 20% for each partner and by 15% for each child.
To process the visa, a fee of 75 EUR must be paid and an application filed at a Greek consulate or embassy in another country. If the citizen is already in Greece, they can apply to the Ministry of Migration and Asylum. The visa process takes more than 10 business days.
Cyprus
Cyprus issues a digital nomad visa for up to one year, with the option of a three-year extension.
To obtain the visa you need to earn at least 3,500 EUR per month. A digital nomad needs to arrange medical insurance and sign a lease or buy property in Cyprus.
