PROCEDURE FOR OBTAINING CITIZENSHIP

Our task is to simplify the collection of documents as much as possible, and if necessary, we receive documents for the client without his participation. A serious advantage of Vanuatu is that all documents are reviewed and verified remotely.

  • 1
    Preliminary check
    1 day

The lawyer checks the applicant’s documents and searches for information about him in international databases. This is necessary to reduce the risk of denial of citizenship: if there is such a risk, we will detect it in time, and lawyers will offer a solution.

The verification is confidential: only you and the lawyers who work with your application will know about the results. For verification, you only need a passport.

  • 2
Preparation of the first part of the documents
    From 3 days

The investor and lawyers prepare documents for verification by the Financial Intelligence Unit (FIU). Usually, she needs a passport, a criminal record and a CV — a short story about the life and career of the applicant.

  • 3
    FIU check
    Up to 2 week

Lawyers send the documents to the program agent in Vanuatu, and he transfers them to the FIU. There, the initial check of the investor and his family is carried out.

The official deadline is 1 week, but the check is usually completed in 3−4 days.

  • 4
Preparation of the second part of the documents
    Up to 2 weeks

Once FIU approval is received, lawyers begin preparing the remaining documents for participation in the program. The investor provides personal and financial documents, and lawyers certify copies and fill out forms.

  • 5
Submission and consideration of an application
    Up to 2 weeks

The investor transfers 25% of the investment under the program. Lawyers send an application and a package of documents to Vanuatu. The Screening Committee and Citizenship Commission review them. Verification takes up to 2 weeks.

  • 6
Approval and fulfilment of the investment condition
    Up to 90 days

The Citizenship Commission sends a notice of approval of the application. The investor fulfils the investment condition — he pays the remaining 75% of the contribution. For this, he is given 90 days.

  • 7
Swearing in and obtaining a passport
    Up to 2 weeks

When the investment is credited, the Citizenship Commission issues a certificate of naturalization and submits a request for a passport to the passport office.

To obtain a passport, you need to take an oath. This can be done in two ways: fly to Vanuatu or invite the swearing-in commissioner and migration officer to a place convenient for investors.

The investor and his wife take the oath.
