To be eligible for Vanuatu citizenship through its Citizenship by Investment Program, a Non-Refundable Contribution to the Vanuatu Development Support Program (DSP) is required.

The Vanuatu government conducts mandatory background checks on candidates for Vanuatu citizenship. For this purpose, a Due Diligence agency is appointed, which uses various international and local data sources such as Interpol, World-Check and other government agencies and whose services are paid for.
